Friends & Social
Build your Sudoku network. Add friends, compare stats, send direct challenges, and see who is online right now.
This feature is currently in active development. We are working hard to bring you the best Sudoku experience possible.
Connect with the Sudoku Community
Sudoku is better with friends. The upcoming Friends & Social hub will allow you to build a personal network of fellow Sudoku enthusiasts on MySudokuWorld. By adding players to your Friends List, you can keep track of their progress, celebrate their achievements, and foster friendly rivalries.
Your Friends List acts as your social dashboard. At a glance, you'll be able to see who is currently online, what difficulty they are solving, or if they are currently in a multiplayer match. You can view their public profile to compare their Daily Challenge streak, their fastest solve times, and the badges they've earned in the Academy.
The social system is deeply integrated with the multiplayer features. With a single click from the Friends List, you can send a live Head-to-Head challenge to an online friend, or invite them to a private Race lobby. You can also share specific puzzle IDs if you find a particularly interesting or difficult grid that you want them to try.
Activity Feeds and Leaderboards
The Friends hub will feature a specialized Activity Feed, showing recent milestones from your network. You'll be notified when a friend completes the Expert Academy track, hits a 30-day solving streak, or sets a new personal best time on a Hard puzzle. This feed creates a supportive environment where players can encourage each other's improvement.
Additionally, the global Leaderboard will gain a dedicated 'Friends' filter. Instead of comparing yourself against thousands of global players, you can view a private, localized leaderboard showing exactly where you rank among your social circle for the Daily Challenge or Weekly Race ratings.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a friend?
You can send a friend request directly from a user's public profile page, from the post-match multiplayer screen, or by searching for their exact username.
Is there a chat feature?
We are exploring options for lightweight, positive communication. Direct messaging may be implemented in the future, alongside pre-set quick-chat emotes for multiplayer lobbies.
Can I hide my online status?
Yes. Privacy is important, and you will always have the option to set your status to 'Offline' or 'Invisible' if you prefer to solve puzzles without interruptions.
Is there a limit to how many friends I can have?
The initial limit will be 100 friends per account to ensure optimal performance of the live-sync features, though this may be expanded in the future.
