What is Mini Sudoku?

Mini Sudoku uses the same core rules as classic 9×9 Sudoku but with smaller grids. 4×4 and 6×6 variants are popular with beginners, younger players, and anyone wanting a faster solving experience. They make excellent brain warm-ups.

4×4 Mini Sudoku Rules

Fill each cell with a digit from 1 to 4. Every row, column, and 2×2 box must contain each digit exactly once. With 16 cells total, most puzzles solve in 30–60 seconds.

6×6 Mini Sudoku Rules

Fill each cell with a digit from 1 to 6. Every row, column, and 2×3 rectangular box must contain each digit exactly once. With 36 cells, these puzzles typically take 2–5 minutes depending on difficulty.
